We are sad to hear the news of the passing of Shirlee Bell, R.T. (R). In 1985, Shirlee and her husband, Roy E. Bell (an ASRT Fellow and past OSRT president), started the Radiologic Technology Program at Kent State Salem. They transferred the program from Salem Community Hospital that began in 1967. She served as an instructor and program director and also held the position of Assistant to the Dean in 2000-2001 at KSU Salem.

Shirlee was heavily involved in the OSRT and was honored as the Penn-Hu-Mac-Par Lecturer in 1993 with her topic of “By Your Pupil You Will Be Taught”. She and her husband were very dedicated to the profession of radiologic technology and they, together, influenced many, many lives! Visit the obituary for more information.
