DESCRIPTION, BENEFITS, QUESTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities: The Instructor has the responsibility for developing curricula and teaching Radiographic Imaging courses, as well as completing course assessments and student evaluations. In addition, specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Teach Radiographic Imaging courses with a typical load of 20 contact hours per academic term and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. Teaching assignments may include didactic, distance education, and laboratory instruction.
  • Provide 10 office hours per week, 7 in-person and 3-virtually for student advising, curriculum development, course development/delivery, textbook review/selection, assessment activities, college/program meetings, etc.
  • Provide 10 hours professional and community service. Includes attending college and program meetings, participation in professional development, mentoring adjunct instructors, serving on campus committees, and community activities.
  • Foster an atmosphere of inclusiveness and support for our diverse student population.
  • Be committed to implementation of the mission of Rhodes State College.
  • Maintain appropriate professional certifications and licenses as applicable.
  • Actively engage in student success and completion initiatives within a comprehensive student support design.
  • Foster a cohesive, team-oriented environment with all Radiographic Imaging faculty and staff.
  • Perform other similar duties as required.

Experience, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Must be competent in oral and written communication as well as in computer technology.
  • Must have the ability to interact positively with students and colleagues is essential.

Preferred:

  • Previous teaching experience at a two-year college level to demonstrate proficiency in course development, instruction, evaluation and academic advising.
  • Committed to the two-year college mission and quality instruction.

Education & Certifications Required:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or Radiologic Technology (Master’s preferred);
  2. Registered Technologist in Radiography - RT ( R ) (ARRT);
  3. Unrestricted Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Radiologic license; and
  4. Documented two years' clinical experience in the professional discipline

Preferred:

  • Additional certification in the Medical Imaging profession.
